Job Purpose
The consultancy aims to provide technical, methodological, and operational support for the organization, facilitation, systematization, documentation, and dissemination of events related to the development and socialization of normative instruments in the Water Resources, Irrigation, Potable Water, and Basic Sanitation sectors. This includes preparatory and follow-up activities for the Water Resources Summit, ensuring the transversal incorporation of gender equality, rights, inclusion, interculturality, and meaningful participation approaches. The consultant will coordinate with UNICEF and the Ministry of Rural Productive Development and Water to develop a work plan, support event logistics, prepare agendas and materials, facilitate dialogue spaces, incorporate cross-cutting approaches, coordinate documentation, and produce communication materials for dissemination. The ultimate goal is to strengthen normative processes and provide inputs for the Water Resources Summit.
Responsibilities
Develop a work plan and activity schedule for the consultancy, including actions to promote equitable participation of children, adolescents, and youth. Support the planning, organization, and logistical coordination of workshops, technical meetings, working groups, sectoral consultations, and other events related to the Water Resources Summit, ensuring inclusivity. Prepare agendas, participatory methodologies, support materials, and tools for event development. Facilitate or co-facilitate dialogue spaces, technical analysis, and participatory proposal construction. Integrate gender, inclusion, and social participation approaches in event organization and development. Coordinate the registration, follow-up, and documentation of participation from institutional actors, social organizations, academia, the private sector, and other relevant stakeholders. Prepare memory aids, minutes, reports, systematization reports, and other documents derived from events, including gender-differentiated analysis of contributions, needs, and recommendations where applicable. Compile, organize, and systematize contributions, recommendations, agreements, and lessons learned from consultation and consensus-building processes, identifying those related to gender equality, inclusion, and equitable access to water resources and water and sanitation services. Support the development and consolidation of technical inputs for the Water Resources Summit and the strengthening of sectoral normative instruments, with recommendations for equitable access. Develop content and communication products for disseminating results, including informational notes, synthesis documents, bulletins, digital publications, and other communication materials, using images reflecting population diversity and promoting gender equality. Coordinate the review, validation, editing, and publication processes of consultancy outputs. Submit progress reports and a final report consolidating activities, results, and deliverables, including an analysis of identified gaps and recommendations for strengthening the gender approach in future processes.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in programme management, event organization, facilitation, and documentation, preferably within the water sector or related development areas. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is an asset.
