Job Purpose
The National Gender and Inclusion Technical Assistant will be instrumental in operationalizing the action plan derived from gender and inclusion analysis recommendations. This role involves supporting central and decentralized actors in adopting and progressively implementing the gender and inclusion operational action plan. The incumbent will ensure close monitoring and reporting on the implementation of recommendations, documenting progress, challenges, necessary adjustments, and best practices. They will also propose corrective measures to enhance the effective integration of gender and inclusion, and capitalize on implementation achievements for the sustainability of gender-sensitive and inclusive actions. A key aspect of this role is ensuring gender and inclusion are considered in the development of various planning and reporting documents.
Responsibilities
The Assistant(e) Technique national(e) en genre et inclusion will be responsible for operationalizing the action plan stemming from gender and inclusion analysis recommendations. This includes supporting central and decentralized actors in the appropriation and progressive implementation of the gender and inclusion operational action plan. The role requires ensuring close monitoring and reporting on the operationalization of recommendations, documenting advancements, constraints, necessary adjustments, and best practices. The incumbent will propose corrective measures to strengthen the effective consideration of gender and inclusion and capitalize on implementation achievements for the sustainability of gender-sensitive and inclusive actions. Furthermore, the role involves ensuring that gender and inclusion are taken into account in the development of PAA, PRAA, RAE, and RRAE documents. The position also entails providing technical support for the design, implementation, and monitoring of gender-sensitive and inclusive programs, particularly within the education sector, and contributing to capacity building for institutional, technical, and community actors.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Niger in the fields of gender, inclusion, education, protection, social development, or humanitarian action. Demonstrated experience in supporting the design, implementation, or monitoring of gender-sensitive and inclusive programs, preferably in the education sector. Experience in capacity building of institutional, technical, and community actors, including facilitating workshops or training sessions. Good experience in monitoring and evaluation, particularly in using or proposing disaggregated indicators.
