Job Purpose

The purpose of this consultancy is to consolidate and organize UNICEF Ethiopia's existing disability inclusion guidance, training materials, programme tools, and strategic resources. These materials are currently dispersed across various platforms, making them difficult to locate and use systematically. The consultant will create a user-friendly and accessible internal SharePoint-based library to preserve institutional memory, close knowledge management gaps, and ensure continuity. Additionally, the consultant will produce practical outputs for immediate programme use, such as an assistive technology roadmap for livelihood interventions and an onboarding package for new specialists, thereby enhancing the effective implementation and sustainability of disability inclusion initiatives.

Responsibilities

Consolidate and organize existing disability inclusion guidance, training materials, programme tools, and strategic resources into a user-friendly and accessible internal SharePoint-based library. Develop a structured and systematic approach to knowledge management for disability inclusion content. Ensure all materials are easily searchable and retrievable for UNICEF staff and future recruits. Produce practical outputs for immediate programme use, including an assistive technology roadmap for livelihood interventions under the Mastercard Foundation project. Develop an onboarding package for future specialist-level and senior recruits focused on disability inclusion. Collaborate closely with the Social Policy Chief, LNOB team, relevant programme sections, field office colleagues, and operations colleagues. Ensure the continuity of disability inclusion efforts by preserving institutional memory and closing knowledge management gaps. Translate existing knowledge into practical and accessible formats suitable for staff and new hires. Review and assess the current state of disability inclusion knowledge management systems and propose improvements.

Work Experience

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in knowledge management, information management, or programme support, preferably within a development or humanitarian context. Experience in organizing and structuring digital content and developing user-friendly knowledge platforms is essential. Experience with SharePoint or similar content management systems is desirable.
