Job Purpose
The Digital Communication Specialist will lead the design and implementation of digital communication strategies to strengthen community engagement, address misinformation, and promote polio vaccination across Pakistan. Working closely with UNICEF, GPEI partners, government counterparts, and global teams, the specialist will develop and implement a sustainable digital engagement strategy tailored to Pakistan's evolving epidemiological context. Through targeted, multilingual digital campaigns for high-risk communities and close coordination with regional partners, including Afghanistan, the role will strengthen public trust, enhance the reach and effectiveness of digital engagement, and contribute to Pakistan's polio eradication efforts.
Responsibilities
Key functions and accountabilities include: Improved Digital Communication, Digital Media Management, Advocacy and Partnership Building, and Capacity Building. The specialist will lead the design and implementation of digital communication strategies to strengthen community engagement, address misinformation, and promote polio vaccination across Pakistan. Working closely with UNICEF, GPEI partners, government counterparts, and global teams, the specialist will develop and implement a sustainable digital engagement strategy tailored to Pakistan's evolving epidemiological context. Through targeted, multilingual digital campaigns for high-risk communities and close coordination with regional partners, including Afghanistan, the role will strengthen public trust, enhance the reach and effectiveness of digital engagement, and contribute to Pakistan's polio eradication efforts.
Work Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in digital communication, social media strategy, digital marketing, or a related area is required. Proven experience in designing and implementing digital and social media strategies at the national or international level, preferably in a public health context, is required. Demonstrated experience in managing digital content and social media platforms, including addressing misinformation and fostering community engagement, is required.
