Job Purpose
The consultant will design a social and behavioral change methodology for the integral development of early childhood, aiming to promote sustainable early childhood-friendly practices and environments. This involves identifying key behavioral determinants and social barriers within the early childhood context to tailor a methodology to the local context. The consultant will also design a pilot plan for applying the methodology in collaboration with relevant entities to assess its operability, relevance, and adaptability. Finally, the consultant will evaluate the process through technical and participatory analysis, incorporating lessons learned and recommendations for optimization and scaling across different contexts and themes.
Responsibilities
Design a social and behavioral change methodology for early childhood development, focusing on promoting sustainable, child-friendly practices and environments. Identify key behavioral determinants and social barriers affecting early childhood within the local context to inform the methodology's design. Develop a pilot application plan for the methodology, coordinating with relevant authorities to test its feasibility, appropriateness, and adaptability. Conduct a thorough technical and participatory evaluation of the pilot process, documenting lessons learned and providing actionable recommendations for refining the methodology. Ensure the methodology is designed for potential scaling across diverse contexts and thematic areas. Collaborate with public entities, international organizations, UN agencies, and international cooperation bodies throughout the process. Utilize evidence generation, analysis, and visualization to inform decision-making for social and behavioral change interventions. Facilitate participatory processes and provide training to institutional technical teams.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in designing and implementing Social and Behavioral Change strategies, Development Communication, or related campaigns in areas such as health, social inclusion, or early childhood.
