Job Purpose
Under the supervision and guidance of the Chief WASH, the Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes. The role involves substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. The incumbent exercises judgment, anticipates needs, and recommends actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation, and reporting results. This role is critical in contributing to the successful delivery of UNICEF's WASH programme in Haiti, ensuring children's rights to water, sanitation, and hygiene are met even in challenging circumstances.
Responsibilities
Key functions and accountabilities include Project Management & Implementing Partnership Coordination, ensuring effective collaboration with partners for programme delivery. Data Management, Analysis & Reporting involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting on programme data to inform decision-making and track progress. Grant Management, Budget Monitoring & Reporting requires overseeing financial aspects of programmes, ensuring compliance and efficient resource utilization. Digital Innovation & Operational Efficiency focuses on leveraging technology to improve programme delivery and operational processes. Communication, Knowledge Sharing & Dissemination involves sharing programme insights and best practices. Capacity Building & Event Coordination supports strengthening partner capabilities and organizing relevant events. Surge Support & Business Continuity ensures the programme can adapt to and maintain operations during emergencies or disruptions.
Work Experience
A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in programme support, administration, or a related field. Experience in the WASH sector or in emergency contexts is an asset.
