Job Purpose
The Communication & Partnerships Officer will contribute to the Country Office's partnership, visibility, and resource mobilization priorities. The role's purpose is to support the effective implementation of communication and partnership strategies, enhancing UNICEF's visibility and public positioning. This includes developing and strengthening partnerships, and contributing to advocacy efforts and resource mobilization initiatives. The incumbent will participate in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of integrated communication and partnership activities, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's strategic priorities at both country and global levels.
Responsibilities
1. Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance UNICEF's visibility and public positioning. Create compelling content for various platforms, including press releases, social media, and website updates. Manage media relations and respond to media inquiries. 2. Partnership: Identify, cultivate, and strengthen partnerships with government entities, civil society organizations, private sector, and other stakeholders to advance children's rights and UNICEF's mandate. Facilitate collaboration and joint initiatives. 3. Advocacy & Resource Mobilization Support: Contribute to advocacy efforts by developing communication materials and supporting campaigns that promote children's rights. Assist in resource mobilization initiatives by engaging with potential donors and partners, and supporting proposal development. 4. Coordination, Monitoring & Reporting: Coordinate communication and partnership activities with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication and partnership strategies, and prepare regular reports on progress and outcomes.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in Communication, Partnerships, strategic communications, media relations, public relations, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, donor relations, resource mobilization, or content development.
