Job Purpose
The Contracts Associate, GS-6, will administer and process transactions related to the individual consultant contracting cycle within UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Budapest. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and compliant hiring, selection, and contracting of individual consultants globally. The associate will actively engage with contracting managers in country offices, providing guidance on procedures and compliance, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services in line with service level agreements and key performance indicators. The position supports the overall operational efficiency of UNICEF's human resources and procurement processes for consultants.
Responsibilities
Administer and process transactions related to the individual consultant contracting cycle, including reviewing Terms of References (TORs), supporting sourcing and selection processes, preparing offers, and issuing contracts. Prepare and submit transactions to the Contracts Review Committee (CRC) for high-value transactions and present cases at CRC meetings, following up on any required actions. Manage the consultancy lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to Division of People & Culture (DPC) Individual Consultant Procedures and guidance. Maintain accuracy in all processed transactions and ensure timely delivery of services to meet GSSC's service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide guidance and support to contracting managers in country offices regarding consultant contracting procedures and compliance. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the GSSC.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of relevant administrative or operational experience, preferably in human resources, procurement, or contract management, is required. Experience in an international organization or UN system is an asset.
