Job Purpose
The IT Analyst consultant will be responsible for the analysis, design, validation, testing, and implementation support of all system enhancements, integrations, reports, dashboards, and digital solutions covered under this assignment. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective functioning and continuous improvement of UNICEF's information systems in Mozambique. The consultant will contribute to the development and acquisition of mission-critical information systems, ensuring they meet the organization's strategic objectives and operational needs. By providing expertise in system analysis and design, the consultant will help enhance data management, reporting capabilities, and overall digital solutions, thereby supporting UNICEF's mission to serve children and communities.
Responsibilities
The IT Analyst consultant shall be responsible for the analysis, design, validation, testing, and implementation support of all system enhancements, integrations, reports, dashboards, and digital solutions covered under this assignment. Key responsibilities include:
- Requirements Analysis: Gathering and documenting user requirements for system enhancements and new digital solutions.
- Functional Analysis and Design: Developing functional specifications and system designs based on analyzed requirements.
- Systems Integration Analysis: Analyzing and designing integrations between different systems to ensure seamless data flow.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Developing and executing test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of implemented solutions.
- Reporting and Dashboard Requirements: Defining and implementing requirements for reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Implementation and Deployment Support: Assisting in the deployment of new systems and enhancements, providing technical support during the transition phase.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Creating comprehensive documentation for systems and processes, and facilitating knowledge transfer to relevant stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Key Deliverables: Ensuring timely delivery of all agreed-upon project outputs.
- Acceptance Criteria: Defining and ensuring adherence to acceptance criteria for all deliverables.
Work Experience
1) Proven experience in the successful development and implementation of at least one enterprise-grade, mission-critical information system, including environments with distributed transactions, fault tolerance, and high availability.
2) Demonstrated experience in Java development, Enterprise Architect or similar modeling tools, data modeling, UML, BPMN, use case modeling, sequence diagrams, and working with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
