Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide coordination, technical, and facilitative support to the Country Team in the implementation of activities under the joint IOM-UNICEF Global Programme. The consultant will support coordination mechanisms, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, reporting processes, and the organization of regional and national consultations and convenings. The role will also contribute to technical programme outputs, including desk reviews, mapping and analysis of practices, gaps, and needs, drafting and dissemination of programme documents and joint reports, and support to the development of costed national action plans and donor reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
The consultant will provide coordination, technical, and facilitative support to the Country Team in the implementation of activities under the joint IOM-UNICEF Global Programme. This includes supporting coordination mechanisms, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and reporting processes. The consultant will be responsible for organizing regional and national consultations and convenings. Additionally, the role involves contributing to technical programme outputs such as desk reviews, mapping and analysis of practices, gaps, and needs. The consultant will also be responsible for drafting and disseminating programme documents and joint reports, and supporting the development of costed national action plans and donor reporting requirements. The position requires strong report writing, documentation, and communication skills, as well as experience organizing workshops and meetings.
Work Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in programme coordination, migration, child protection, humanitarian or development programming. Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-stakeholder or inter-agency initiatives. Experience organizing workshops, meetings, and regional convenings. Strong report writing, documentation, and communication skills. Experience working with UN agencies, NGOs, government counterparts, and international partners. Strong organizational and facilitation skills.
