Job Purpose
The Digital Impact Officer will support the ICT unit in UNICEF Nepal by bridging a temporary gap. This role is crucial for enabling the provision of ICT and digital solutions and services, thereby assisting in the delivery of results for children. The officer will provide strategic oversight and manage the ICT unit and team, collaborating with programme sections to guide Technology for Development (T4D) initiatives. The aim is to strengthen programme delivery and enhance the impact of UNICEF's work for children in Nepal through effective ICT management and digital innovation.
Responsibilities
The Digital Impact Officer will be responsible for managing UNICEF Nepal’s ICT function, providing strategic oversight and managing the ICT unit and team in close consultation with the supervisor. Key responsibilities include managing ICT infrastructure, networks, telecommunications, and enterprise technology platforms. The officer will ensure effective ICT service delivery, technical support, system availability, and business continuity. Strengthening information security, risk management, system maintenance, and compliance are also critical duties. The role involves supporting the implementation of digital solutions and Technology for Development (T4D) initiatives, providing leadership, supervision, technical guidance, and capacity building for ICT personnel. Coordination with internal and external stakeholders to advance ICT priorities, innovation, and collaboration will be essential for the success of these functions.
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of professional work experience in information technology management and business operations within a large international organization and/or corporation is required. Experience working within a UN organization is also mandatory.

Managing wide-area-networks (WAN) including Meraki networks, Deploying Microsoft Windows platforms, Microsoft Office 365, Sharepoint, Power platforms, Power BI, Intune, Video conferencing systems (e.g., Polycoms), ICT Project Management, Business Analytics, Information Security, ICT Audit and Risk Management
