Job Purpose
Under the supervision of a supervisor, the Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes. This role involves significant engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. The incumbent will exercise judgment, anticipate needs, and recommend actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation, and reporting results. The position is crucial for ensuring that UNICEF's programmes are delivered efficiently and effectively, contributing to positive outcomes for children worldwide. The role also supports digital innovation and operational efficiency to maximize impact.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include Project Management and Implementing Partnership Coordination to ensure smooth collaboration and timely processes. Data Management, Analysis & Reporting are essential for generating actionable insights for decision-making. Grant Management, Budget Monitoring and Reporting involve tracking utilization and supporting donor submissions. The role will also focus on Digital Innovation & Operational Efficiency by leveraging AI and digital tools to streamline tasks. Communication, Knowledge Sharing and Dissemination are important for sharing results and best practices. Capacity Building & Event Coordination for workshops and learning activities will be undertaken. Finally, Flexibility & Surge Support will be required to adapt to changing priorities and provide backup across the team, ensuring continuous support for programme delivery.
Work Experience
At least 6 years of relevant work experience in Administration, Operations, Executive Management, Programme Management, Planning, Communication, Grant Management, Budget Management, or Data Analysis is required.
