Job Purpose
The UNICEF office in Nicaragua seeks to enhance staff interpersonal competencies and performance to improve the work environment. Despite positive internal survey results, areas for improvement, particularly in soft skills, have been identified. Due to a lack of specialized internal capacity, institutional coaching support is required. The consultancy aims to design and implement a competency development plan aligned with UNICEF's core values and competencies, fostering professional and personal growth. It will also include a final follow-up activity to reinforce developed skills and their application in the workplace, providing specialized technical support for strengthening staff soft skills.
Responsibilities
Design and implement a comprehensive soft skills development plan tailored to UNICEF Nicaragua staff, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's core values and competencies. Conduct needs assessments to identify specific areas for improvement in interpersonal skills and leadership. Develop and deliver training modules, workshops, and coaching sessions focused on enhancing soft skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. Facilitate individual and group coaching sessions to support staff in applying learned skills in their daily work. Develop and implement a follow-up mechanism to monitor the application and impact of the developed skills, providing ongoing support and reinforcement. Prepare regular progress reports and a final report detailing the consultancy's activities, outcomes, and recommendations for sustained development. Collaborate with HR and relevant stakeholders to ensure the plan's integration into existing performance management systems. Utilize digital tools for session delivery, reporting, and progress tracking. Ensure all activities contribute to improving the work environment and overall staff performance.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in executive coaching, soft skills development, and leadership. Proven experience in designing and implementing mentoring programs and organizational development workshops.
