Job Purpose
The purpose of this Senior National Individual Consultancy is to provide UNICEF Algeria and three partner ministries with technical leadership for the adaptation, training of trainers, supervised duplication, coaching, monitoring, and capitalization of the Adolescent Kit, referencing the Life Skills and Citizenship Education (LSCE) framework. The mission aims to strengthen an initial group of 90 ministry officials, 30 per Ministry, enabling them to understand, adapt, facilitate, monitor, and progressively duplicate the Adolescent Kit within their respective structures. The consultancy will be implemented within a limited timeframe, in coordination with a junior/associate national consultant recruited separately for support in contextualization, documentation, and field monitoring.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for the adaptation of the Adolescent Kit to the Algerian context in collaboration with partner ministries. Develop and deliver a comprehensive training of trainers program for ministry officials on the Adolescent Kit. Oversee and supervise the duplication of the Adolescent Kit by trained officials, ensuring quality and adherence to the framework. Provide coaching and ongoing support to ministry officials throughout the adaptation and implementation process. Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the Adolescent Kit implementation and provide feedback for improvement. Facilitate the capitalization of lessons learned and best practices from the adaptation and implementation process. Coordinate closely with the junior/associate national consultant to ensure seamless support in contextualization, documentation, and field monitoring. Prepare regular progress reports and a final report detailing activities, outcomes, and recommendations. Ensure alignment of the Adolescent Kit adaptation and implementation with UNICEF's mandate and the LSCE framework.
Work Experience
At least 8 years of confirmed professional experience in capacity building, training of trainers, participatory facilitation, life skills development, and non-formal education.
