Job Purpose
The consultant will be responsible for the ongoing management and documentation of knowledge, as well as technical, photographic, and audiovisual documentation for the drone-based larvicide project in Benin. This role involves continuous project documentation, capturing photographic and audiovisual content, producing a documentary film, managing knowledge, and supporting institutional communication. The consultant will work under the joint supervision of the National Malaria Control Programme (PNLP) and UNICEF, ensuring that all project activities and outcomes are effectively recorded and disseminated. The aim is to create a comprehensive record of the project's progress, impact, and lessons learned, contributing to both internal knowledge management and external communication efforts.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for the continuous documentation of the project's activities, progress, and impact. This includes capturing high-quality photographic and audiovisual materials that effectively represent the project's implementation and outcomes. A key deliverable will be the production of a documentary film that tells the story of the project, its challenges, and its successes. The consultant will also be tasked with managing the project's knowledge, ensuring that lessons learned and best practices are identified, documented, and shared. This involves developing and implementing a knowledge management strategy. Furthermore, the consultant will provide support to institutional communication efforts, leveraging the documented materials to enhance UNICEF's visibility and engagement with stakeholders. This may include contributing to reports, presentations, and other communication products. The consultant will work closely with project teams and beneficiaries to gather information and ensure accurate and compelling documentation. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying documentation needs and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of professional experience in development project documentation. Proven experience in audiovisual and documentary production. Experience in public health or community development projects. Demonstrated experience in knowledge management.
