Job Purpose
The National AIC and CFS Consultant will provide essential technical, coordination, and monitoring support for the implementation of the AIC (Accelerating Innovation for Children) and CFS (Child-Friendly Spaces) interventions in the provinces of Huíla and Cunene. Working remotely under the supervision of the Education Specialist, and in close collaboration with the UNICEF Education team and relevant government counterparts, this role is crucial for ensuring the effective delivery of these vital programs. The consultant will contribute to achieving UNICEF's mission by directly supporting initiatives aimed at improving children's well-being and rights within these specific regions, ensuring that interventions are aligned with national strategies and UNICEF's global goals for child protection and development.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for the implementation of AIC and CFS interventions in Huíla and Cunene provinces, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's strategic objectives and national policies. Coordinate activities between UNICEF, government counterparts, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth program execution and foster collaborative partnerships. Monitor the progress of AIC and CFS interventions, collecting data and identifying challenges and successes to inform program adjustments. Prepare regular progress reports, documenting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. Support the development and dissemination of relevant project materials and knowledge products. Facilitate communication and information sharing among all involved parties to ensure a cohesive approach. Conduct field missions to Cunene and Huila as required to assess program implementation and provide on-site support. Collaborate with the UNICEF Education team to integrate lessons learned and best practices into ongoing and future programming. Assist in the organization of workshops, training sessions, and meetings related to AIC and CFS interventions. Ensure that all activities adhere to UNICEF's core values, including child safeguarding and protection principles.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in managing and implementing education programs.
Skills
Education project management, UN System experience, Knowledge of CFS approach, Knowledge of AIC approach, Government counterpart collaboration, Technical support, Coordination, Monitoring, Reporting, Community engagement/SBC experience (desirable)
