Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this consultancy is to support the effective dissemination and capitalization of knowledge, practices, and coordination models related to the protection of unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) in Italy. This will be achieved by designing and implementing creative, interactive, and hybrid (online and in-person) workshops. Building on existing research, the consultant will ensure that key findings, good practices, and lessons learned are translated into structured, engaging, and participatory learning experiences. These experiences will be tailored for institutional audiences, including Prefecture staff, Juvenile Court professionals, and practitioners within the UASC reception system, ultimately aiming to enhance understanding and practical application of rights-based child protection pathways through innovative methods.
Responsibilities
Design and facilitate interactive, participatory, and hybrid workshops (online and in-person) for institutional audiences, focusing on the protection of unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) in Italy. Translate complex research findings, good practices, and lessons learned into structured, engaging, and user-friendly learning materials and workshop tools. Develop creative and audience-tailored dissemination materials that effectively communicate technical, legal, or analytical content. Adapt interactive tools and materials for different modalities, ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and alignment with Italian legislation (Law 47/2017), national guidance (Vademecum), and relevant EU frameworks. Facilitate active participation, discussion, and reflection among workshop participants. Support knowledge capitalization, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement processes. Create visual and digital facilitation materials such as slides, infographics, flowcharts, and interactive online tools. Contribute to strengthening institutional capacities and promoting interinstitutional coordination for UASC protection pathways. Ensure all activities align with UNICEF's broader efforts to systematize and disseminate knowledge for coherent, efficient, and rights-based protection.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in designing and facilitating interactive, participatory, and hybrid workshops; developing creative dissemination materials; working with juvenile justice, child protection, or migration systems; and supporting knowledge capitalization and stakeholder engagement. Proven experience in adapting materials to hybrid formats and working with institutional stakeholders is required.
