Job Purpose
UNICEF Lebanon works to ensure that every child, particularly the most vulnerable and disadvantaged, has equitable access to quality education, child protection, and other essential services through its humanitarian and development programmes. The Programme Consultant will provide operational, administrative, and coordination support to field-based Education and Child Protection teams, contributing to the timely and effective delivery of programme interventions. This role is crucial for ensuring the continuity of both emergency and development programming in the context of increased operational and coordination demands due to the ongoing humanitarian situation in Lebanon.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Programme Officer, the Programme Consultant provides operational, administrative, and programme support to the implementation of Education and Child Protection programmes in the assigned Field Office. The incumbent supports programme planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, partner coordination, and field follow-up, ensuring timely and quality programme delivery in line with UNICEF policies and procedures. The position contributes to strengthening programme effectiveness and operational efficiency, enabling the Field Office to deliver both humanitarian and development interventions for vulnerable children and their families. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support, assisting in programme planning and implementation, monitoring programme activities, supporting reporting processes, facilitating coordination with partners and stakeholders, and conducting field follow-up to ensure effective service delivery.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in programme support, administration, or coordination, preferably in the areas of education or child protection. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is an asset.
