Job Purpose

This consultancy aims to update the Integrated Information System of the Child Development Centers (MCDI) and the family support strategy of the Directorate of Early Childhood of the Ministry of Family, MIFAM. This includes the technical validation of the system and the training of technical personnel in its use. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the system meets the needs of the Directorate and effectively supports the family accompaniment strategy, contributing to the improved development and well-being of children in Nicaragua. The role requires a deep understanding of information systems and their application in social programs.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for updating the Integrated Information System of the Child Development Centers (MCDI) and the family support strategy of the Directorate of Early Childhood of the Ministry of Family, MIFAM. This includes conducting a thorough technical validation of the existing system to identify areas for improvement and ensure its functionality and efficiency. The consultant will also develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for technical personnel on the effective use of the updated system. Key tasks involve designing and implementing necessary system enhancements, ensuring data integrity and security, and providing technical support during the transition period. The consultant will collaborate closely with the Directorate of Early Childhood to ensure the system aligns with their strategic objectives and effectively supports the family accompaniment strategy, ultimately contributing to better outcomes for children.

Work Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in designing, adapting, developing, or implementing information systems, software solutions, or digital monitoring platforms, preferably in institutional or social sector environments. Experience in web system development, database management, dashboards, and digital forms is required.
