Job Purpose
The Fundraising Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of UNICEF's Private Sector Plan for 2023-2027, with a specific emphasis on enhancing the individual loyalty donors’ programme. The primary responsibility of this role will be to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing donors. This involves a comprehensive approach to donor engagement, including welcoming them to the organization, providing them with updates on UNICEF's ongoing initiatives, and informing them about new or alternative methods for contributing to the cause. The consultant will be instrumental in fostering a sense of community and commitment among donors, ensuring they feel valued and informed about the impact of their contributions to saving children's lives and defending their rights.
Responsibilities
The Fundraising Consultant will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to strengthen the individual loyalty donors’ programme, aligning with the Private Sector Plan 2023-2027. This includes identifying potential new donors and nurturing relationships with existing ones through personalized communication and engagement. The consultant will manage the donor journey, from initial contact and welcome to ongoing stewardship, ensuring a positive and impactful experience. Key activities will involve creating compelling content that highlights UNICEF's work and the impact of donations, and communicating these effectively to donors. The role requires proactive outreach to inform donors about new giving opportunities and ways to increase their support. Additionally, the consultant will be tasked with tracking donor interactions, analyzing engagement metrics, and providing regular reports on the qualitative and quantitative performance of the programme. This involves utilizing e-mail tools and mobile messaging applications for communication and engagement, and maintaining a high level of organization and coordination to manage multiple donor relationships simultaneously. The consultant must demonstrate a strong drive for results and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of their work.
Work Experience
Six years of practical professional work experience in Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications, with a specific focus on donor/customer care and support.
