Job Purpose
The Digital Paid Media Consultant will empower and enable international UNICEF markets to independently drive profitable and scalable performance marketing, digital fundraising, and paid-advertising operations across owned, earned, and paid media channels. The role focuses on net income generation, profitability, and scalability, utilizing platforms like AI Chat Bots (Claude, ChatGPT), Meta, Google, and Bing ads. The consultant will provide technical expertise, assess and develop performance marketing strategies, and assist in disseminating this knowledge to other UNICEF markets, acting as an executioner, orchestrator, and enabler to drive financial growth and sustainability.
Responsibilities
The Digital Paid Media Consultant is responsible for driving financial growth and ensuring sustainability in assigned UNICEF markets. They will collaborate closely with global UNICEF teams and regional squads to offer expertise in digital performance marketing and advertising across owned, earned, and paid media channels, with a primary focus on AI, Meta, and Google ads. The consultant will empower markets and provide hands-on support to other paid media consultants for launching and optimizing performance marketing and paid media campaigns to achieve business goals. Key responsibilities include reviewing current approaches, campaign structures, paid media setups, and conversion tracking; preparing and presenting strategies, learnings, insights, toolkits, guidelines, checklists, SOPs, and media plans based on business goals and historical data; and producing assessment reports from channel reviews and test-and-learn recommendations. The role involves supporting markets in developing and implementing scalable, profitable Performance Marketing strategies, focusing on Google, Bing, and Meta-ads, with secondary channels including AI Chat Bots, GEO, SEO, and AEO. This may include hands-on execution across channels and training fellow consultants on ad account setup, campaign optimization, budget management, reporting, pixel management, and best practices.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, and paid media advertising is required. Experience in fundraising or non-profit sectors is a strong asset. Proven experience in managing and optimizing campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, and AI Chat Bots is essential.
