Job Purpose

The Partnerships Specialist will lead and strengthen UNICEF’s engagement with foundations and faith- and membership-based organisations. This role is crucial for driving strategic partnerships, maximising income and influence, and fostering collaboration across global and local markets. The specialist will support capacity building, pipeline development, and the implementation of innovative partnership strategies. The ultimate goal is to enhance sustainable fundraising and advance UNICEF’s mission for children, ensuring that every child has the right to a champion. This position contributes directly to UNICEF's ability to secure resources and build strong relationships with key external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop, strengthen, and expand partnerships with faith-based organizations, foundations, and other strategic stakeholders to support UNICEF's fundraising and engagement goals. Lead advocacy initiatives, coordinate partner participation in global forums, and align partner engagement with UNICEF's policy and advocacy priorities. Support fundraising efforts by developing donor pipelines, cultivating strategic prospects, and providing guidance to National Committees, Country Offices, and Regional Offices on resource mobilization strategies. This includes providing strategic support for NatComs, Country Offices, Regional Offices, Centers of Excellence, and Thematic areas. The role involves fostering collaboration across global and local markets, supporting capacity building, pipeline development, and implementing innovative partnership strategies to enhance sustainable fundraising and advance UNICEF’s mission for children.

Work Experience

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in areas such as partnership development, fundraising, or international development, with experience spanning at least two specified areas.
