Job Purpose
The Market Development Specialist will be responsible for collating, assessing, and documenting business needs, translating them into structured requirements and scalable solutions across markets. This role involves generating actionable insights through advanced data analysis, market intelligence, and evidence-based modelling to inform and support strategic recommendations. The specialist will design and oversee data collection methodologies, including surveys and feedback mechanisms, ensuring data quality, relevance, and alignment with analytical objectives. Additionally, the position supports the development of business cases, financial models, budgets, scenario analyses, and market assessments, leading selected analytical components to inform decision-making and market development initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Market Development Specialist will support the development and structuring of project implementation plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and follow-up on key actions, and lead selected components or initiatives as required. The role involves acting as a senior business analyst, translating complex business needs into scalable systems, tools, and digital solutions in collaboration with technical teams. The specialist will lead the development and documentation of case studies, translating key learnings into practical tools and guidance for country office users to support the adoption of new business systems and processes. Furthermore, the role entails leading technical presentations and facilitating analytical discussions, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for regional and country office stakeholders. The specialist will also lead the coordination of webinars and information sessions, ensuring effective planning and delivery in collaboration with key stakeholders, and manage and continuously enhance the CODAS SharePoint knowledge platform.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of professional experience in market analysis, business development, project management, or a related field. Experience in data analysis, market intelligence, and developing business cases is essential. Experience working with international organizations or in a developing country context is an asset.
