Job Purpose
The People and Culture Manager serves as a strategic HR partner in Lebanon, anticipating people-related needs and developing proactive solutions aligned with UNICEF's objectives. This role provides strategic leadership in workforce planning, talent management, organizational change, and emergency preparedness, ensuring staff wellbeing and an inclusive workplace. The manager will lead on the P&C Agenda, focusing on attracting, developing, and retaining a high-performing workforce. This position is crucial for enabling UNICEF Lebanon to deliver results for children effectively within a complex and rapidly evolving operating environment, requiring a strong emphasis on duty of care and organizational resilience.
Responsibilities
The People and Culture Manager will oversee the management of the HR unit, providing technical HR leadership and acting as a business partner to the Country Management Team. Key accountabilities include developing and implementing strategic human resources initiatives, ensuring the effective implementation of assigned HR services, and driving learning and capacity development programs for staff. The role involves leveraging HR data analytics to inform decision-making and support organizational objectives. Responsibilities also encompass managing workforce planning, talent management, and organizational change processes. Furthermore, the manager will be instrumental in emergency preparedness and response planning from a people and culture perspective, ensuring the organization can effectively support its staff in challenging circumstances. This includes fostering an inclusive workplace culture and promoting staff wellbeing, which are critical for maintaining operational effectiveness and achieving results for children.
Work Experience
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in human resource management within an international organization and/or a large corporation is required.
