Job Purpose
The National Consultant on Education will provide technical assistance to strengthen policies and programs aimed at linking education and work, and at developing relevant competencies for the labor market among adolescents and youth, through the educational system. This role is crucial for ensuring that young people are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in their future careers and contribute to the economic development of Argentina. The consultant will work closely with educational institutions and government bodies to implement effective strategies and interventions.
Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance for the strengthening of policies and programs that link education and work. Develop competencies relevant to the labor market for adolescents and youth through the educational system. Support the design and implementation of innovative educational initiatives focused on employability. Collaborate with national and local educational authorities to integrate labor market needs into curricula. Facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and stakeholders on new pedagogical approaches. Monitor and evaluate the impact of implemented programs. Prepare reports and recommendations for policy adjustments. Contribute to the development of strategic partnerships with public and private sector entities. Ensure alignment of programs with UNICEF's strategic goals and national educational priorities. Disseminate best practices and lessons learned from program implementation.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in education policy, program development, or youth employment initiatives. Experience working with national education systems and international organizations is an asset.
