Job Purpose
The Social & Behavior Change Immunization Officer will provide technical and operational support for the planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based SBC strategies. The goal is to increase demand for immunization services and ensure the full participation of government partners, communities, and civil society organizations. This role aims to achieve concrete and sustainable results that will help increase children’s immunity and protect them against vaccine-preventable diseases, aligning with UNICEF's commitment to the right to health for every child.
Responsibilities
Support the design and implementation of the Social and Behavioral Change (SBC) strategy and activities aimed at increasing demand and utilization of vaccination services, while strengthening community engagement. Advocate, create networks, and build partnerships to enhance vaccine uptake in the country. Drive innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building within the SBC immunization program. Generate and utilize research, data, and evidence to inform the design, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation of SBC activities. This will help improve health program indicators in general and vaccination indicators in particular, ensuring effective and impactful interventions for child health.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of professional experience in social development program planning, communication for development, social and behavior change, public advocacy, or another related area is required.
