Job Purpose
The U-Report Consultant will be responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, and management of all activities related to the SMS Jovem (U-Report) platform. This role requires strong technical and coordination skills, with a focus on platform management, youth engagement strategies, and monitoring of results to support evidence-based advocacy. The consultant will play a key role in leveraging the U-Report platform to gather youth feedback and insights, contributing to UNICEF's mission of advocating for and protecting children's rights. The assignment is office-based in Luanda for a duration of 12 months, aiming to enhance youth participation and ensure their voices are heard in relevant policy and program development.
Responsibilities
The consultant will lead the strategic planning and execution of U-Report activities, ensuring the platform effectively reaches and engages young people. This includes developing and implementing outreach strategies to maximize participation and data collection. The role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the U-Report platform, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring data integrity. A key responsibility is to analyze the data collected through U-Report to identify trends, insights, and key issues affecting children and youth. The consultant will be responsible for preparing regular reports on platform performance, user engagement, and key findings from the data. These insights will be used to inform UNICEF's advocacy efforts and program interventions. Furthermore, the consultant will foster partnerships with local organizations, government bodies, and youth networks to expand the reach and impact of U-Report. This includes coordinating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with UNICEF's broader goals and objectives. The consultant will also contribute to the development of communication materials based on U-Report findings to raise awareness and promote child rights. The role requires continuous monitoring of the platform's effectiveness and making recommendations for improvements.
