Job Purpose
The Partnerships Manager will play a crucial role within the Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) team in the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Office (LACRO). This position is designed to maximize revenue generation and drive sustainable income growth by developing strategic fundraising and partnership initiatives across key high-value channels. The manager will provide integrated strategic oversight, technical expertise, and coordinated guidance to fundraising teams in designated Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) markets. This involves strengthening performance, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's strategic plan, and fostering long-term growth in private sector contributions. The role requires close liaison with the global PFP Division and reports to the Regional Chief, Private Sector Partnerships, contributing significantly to UNICEF's mission by mobilizing crucial resources for children's programs in the region.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement innovative strategies for cultivating and managing high-value philanthropic partnerships to increase income and influence for UNICEF's programs in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
Lead the identification, prospecting, and engagement of potential major donors, foundations, and corporate social responsibility partners, building strong, long-term relationships based on shared values and impact.
Provide strategic guidance, technical expertise, and capacity building to UNICEF Country Offices and PSFR teams in the region to enhance their fundraising and partnership development capabilities.
Monitor and analyze fundraising performance, market trends, and donor engagement, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate closely with the global PFP Division and other relevant HQ divisions to ensure alignment with global strategies and leverage best practices.
Represent UNICEF in relevant forums, conferences, and meetings to promote partnerships and advocate for children's rights.
Manage a portfolio of key partnerships, ensuring effective stewardship, recognition, and reporting to donors.
Contribute to the development of compelling fundraising proposals and materials tailored to philanthropic audiences.
Ensure compliance with UNICEF's policies and procedures in all fundraising and partnership activities.
Work Experience
A minimum of 8 years of progressive professional experience in Philanthropy and Private Sector Partnerships and fundraising is required. Experience in direct prospecting, relationship cultivation, and management of high-value philanthropy partnerships is essential.
