Job Purpose
The Education Section internship at UNICEF China focuses on supporting the Country Programme 2026-2030, which aims to ensure disadvantaged children are prepared for school and learning in inclusive, healthy, and safe environments. Responsibilities
The intern will support the UNICEF China Education and Child Protection Section in project implementation, documentation, and advocacy. Key responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and execution of workshops and conferences, managing logistics, and providing on-site support. The role involves contributing to documentation and research by collecting and analyzing data, conducting desk reviews, editing reports, and compiling information for dissemination. Interns will also support advocacy initiatives related to inclusive education, STEM education, and violence against children in schools. Furthermore, the position requires supporting knowledge management by developing knowledge products, translating documents between English and Chinese, and disseminating programme publications. Ad hoc tasks as assigned will also be part of the role, providing a broad exposure to the section's work.
Work Experience
Demonstrated experience and ability in innovative education, policy research and analysis, and project coordination are required. A good sense of teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to assigned tasks are also essential.
