Job Purpose

The consultant will support UNICEF's Middle East and North Africa Regional Office (MENARO) in strengthening its engagement with key public donors. This role involves contributing to the development of donor positioning materials and funding pipelines, strategically leveraging the PROSPECTS partnership, and enhancing the coordination and quality assurance of donor reporting across the region. Working under the supervision of the Public Partnerships Manager, the consultant will provide technical and coordination support, focusing on migration, displacement, durable solutions, and humanitarian response and preparedness, particularly within the PROSPECTS framework. The consultancy aims to develop analytical products, donor-facing materials, and coordination tools to inform engagement with public sector partners, identify funding opportunities, and strengthen donor positioning.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for developing specific analytical products, donor-facing materials, coordination tools, and quality assurance support to inform engagement with public sector partners. This includes supporting MENARO and Country Offices in identifying funding opportunities, strengthening donor positioning, and utilizing evidence from PROSPECTS and related initiatives to bolster UNICEF’s regional engagement on children and youth on the move. Key areas of work include: A. Public Partnerships Intelligence, Funding Opportunity Analysis and Donor Positioning Products; B. Strategic Leveraging of PROSPECTS and Flagship Partnerships; and C. Donor Reporting Coordination and Quality Assurance. The role requires managing multiple deliverables and deadlines independently, ensuring high-quality outputs in donor intelligence, funding analysis, and partnership strategy.

Work Experience

A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in public partnerships, donor relations, resource mobilization, external relations, programme partnerships, donor intelligence, or related areas is required.
