The Partnership for a Lead-Free Future (PLF) is a global initiative hosted by UNICEF, aiming to accelerate progress toward eliminating childhood lead poisoning by supporting country-level progress and translating it into regional and global momentum.
Job Purpose
The Partnership for a Lead-Free Future (PLF) is expanding its country engagement portfolio and requires a consultant to provide dedicated coordination and policy support. This role will focus on translating country-level progress into regional and global momentum by identifying and supporting champions, packaging country proof points, and connecting country experiences to regional and global policy opportunities. The consultant will work across priority countries to strengthen advocacy pathways, support country champions, and ensure advocacy efforts are informed by credible technical evidence. The goal is to convene, connect, and elevate country-level efforts through advocacy, policy engagement, and strategic influence, ultimately contributing to the elimination of childhood lead poisoning.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the PLF Secretariat, the consultant will coordinate and support the implementation of PLF’s country engagement and policy portfolio. This involves working across priority countries to strengthen advocacy pathways and support country champions. The consultant will be responsible for connecting country progress to regional and global policy opportunities, ensuring that advocacy efforts are informed by credible technical evidence. Key tasks include developing and implementing strategies for country engagement, facilitating communication and collaboration among stakeholders, and producing policy briefs and advocacy materials. The consultant will also monitor and report on the progress of country engagement initiatives, identify best practices, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the PLF. This role requires strong analytical skills to translate technical evidence into actionable policy recommendations and advocacy products, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in global health, environmental health, policy, advocacy, international development, or related fields. Demonstrated experience coordinating complex multi-country and/or multi-stakeholder initiatives, supporting government engagement, policy processes, regional or global advocacy initiatives, or partnership coordination. Proven experience translating technical evidence into policy, advocacy, and knowledge products.
