Job Purpose
The Programme Associate (G-6) provides specialized administrative and programmatic support to facilitate the coordination, planning, and monitoring of humanitarian coordination systems for education and child protection in Colombia. This role involves significant participation in humanitarian coordination processes, data analysis, budget monitoring, and reporting. The Associate will collaborate closely with internal units and external stakeholders, including government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors, to ensure effective coordination, proper information management, and adherence to organizational procedures.
Responsibilities
The Programme Associate will manage projects and coordinate partnerships for implementation, providing support to humanitarian planning and coordination efforts. They will assist in emergency response for education and child protection, and be responsible for data management, analysis, and reporting. This includes managing grants, monitoring budgets, and generating reports. The role also involves contributing to digital innovation and operational efficiency, facilitating knowledge sharing and communication, and supporting capacity building and event coordination. Flexibility and support in emergency situations are also key aspects of the responsibilities, ensuring continuous program support and adaptation as needed.
Work Experience
A minimum of six years of work experience in humanitarian contexts, specifically in education or child protection, is required. Experience in development or Nexus related to education or child protection is desirable, as is relevant experience in country-level contexts, particularly in development, fragile environments, and humanitarian situations.
