Job Purpose
UNICEF's Digital Impact Division seeks an experienced Project Manager for the Children AI Safety and Security Rubric (CAISSR) initiative. This global project aims to operationalize child safety and protection from technology-facilitated harm within AI systems. The Project Manager will support the end-to-end delivery and coordination of the CAISSR project, working closely with subject matter experts. The role involves managing technical, policy, and advocacy workstreams, ensuring effective execution of activities such as stakeholder coordination, milestone tracking, pilot implementation, and reporting, contributing to the development and dissemination of a structured framework for AI child safety safeguards.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery and coordination of the CAISSR project under the guidance of the Project Coordinator. This includes designing and providing operational support for the project management framework, facilitating stakeholder engagement and partnerships, and organizing the rubric development and pilot phases. Key duties involve robust monitoring, reporting, and risk management to ensure project milestones are met. Additionally, the consultant will support communications and dissemination efforts to promote the CAISSR framework globally. This involves managing multiple workstreams, tracking progress against defined KPIs, synthesizing results from pilot implementations, and producing high-quality reports and knowledge products for various audiences, ensuring effective collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of project or product management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Proven experience in managing end-to-end program delivery involving research, framework development, pilot implementation, and dissemination. Demonstrated experience in AI, digital governance, cybersecurity, or technology policy, including familiarity with AI risks. Experience managing pilot implementations and stakeholder coordination is essential.
