Job Purpose
UNICEF Nicaragua seeks qualified Child Protection professionals to join a pre-selected roster for technical support. Detailed terms of reference will be shared with pre-selected candidates when assignments arise. Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of consultants on this roster is to provide technical support in Child Protection to UNICEF Nicaragua. This includes contributing to the prevention and response to violence, including gender-based violence, and upholding children's rights. Consultants will work on programs related to gender, positive masculinities, prevention of early unions, mental health, positive parenting and discipline, and birth registration. They will also support efforts to strengthen child protection systems and promote inclusive, equitable, and peaceful societies. Consultants may be involved in designing sustainable and transformative solutions by applying social and behavioral sciences. Specific tasks will vary based on the assignment, potentially involving remote work with possible field travel. The role involves working with child protection programs, child safeguarding, gender issues, violence prevention, social programs, and child protection systems.
