Job Purpose

The main objective is to organize and implement the operational deployment for data collection of information through digital tools, ensure the quality of the collected data, and generate technical products to support the semi-annual analysis and reporting of the Mixed Movements Monitoring (MMM). Secondary objectives include generating real-time information on humanitarian assistance interventions, making recommendations for a monitoring mechanism to identify improvements in UNICEF's emergency interventions, contributing to the visibility of challenges related to children's rights in emergencies, and identifying information needs of affected populations. This consultancy aims to strengthen the availability of updated information on human mobility conditions in prioritized points in Bolivia, including protection needs, food security, access to basic services, and specific risks affecting children and their families, to guide UNICEF's humanitarian response and complement existing monitoring mechanisms.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for implementing the necessary activities to support the Mixed Movements Monitoring (MMM) in Bolivia. This includes operational planning, training the field team, data collection and quality control, information processing and systematization, and delivering the agreed-upon technical products to contribute to the initiative's semi-annual analysis and reporting. Specific activities involve organizing technical, operational, and logistical conditions for the monitoring operation. This includes coordinating preparatory activities, developing and organizing the field work schedule, defining routes and data collection points, and addressing logistical aspects. The consultant will also review and validate information collection instruments in Kobo Toolbox and prepare operational guidelines for personnel involved in data collection. Expected results include an approved operational work plan, a defined field schedule, prioritized routes and collection points, and validated instruments, ensuring the effective execution of the monitoring operation.

Work Experience

Demonstrated experience in operational planning, field data collection, application of digital tools, data quality control, and systematization of information is required. Experience supporting humanitarian initiatives or monitoring mechanisms is desirable.
