Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to support the continued implementation, coordination, and learning journey of the Innocenti Youth Fellowship on Climate Education (2026–2027). Building on the established learning journey architecture, partnership, governance structures, and research outputs, this role will focus on ensuring the coherence of the Fellowship's learning journey and coordinating efforts across fellows, senior fellows, advisory group members, facilitators, speakers, and strategic partners. The consultant will be instrumental in developing and adapting curriculum, session designs, learning materials, facilitation tools, and visual learning resources, tailoring content for diverse learning styles and younger fellows. This includes planning and coordinating masterclasses, workshops, mentor sessions, webinars, peer-learning exchanges, and expert engagement sessions, while also documenting and synthesizing learning, insights, and emerging themes from the Fellowship.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for supporting the delivery and coherence of the Fellowship learning journey, ensuring effective coordination among all stakeholders including fellows, senior fellows, advisory group members, session facilitators, speakers, and strategic partners. A key responsibility will be the development and adaptation of curriculum, session designs, learning materials, facilitation tools, and visual learning resources, with a focus on accommodating diverse learning styles and tailoring content for younger fellows. The role involves planning and coordinating various learning activities such as masterclasses, participatory workshops, mentor sessions, webinars, peer-learning exchanges, and expert engagement sessions. Furthermore, the consultant will be tasked with the structured documentation, synthesis, and translation of Fellowship learning, insights, and emerging themes. This includes identifying, documenting, and synthesizing youth-led climate education "Bright Spots" from fellows and the wider applicant pool, and developing the Bright Spots Report and associated knowledge products. The consultant will also coordinate and integrate Fellowship outputs like the Future of Climate Education Report, Global Policy Brief, Future of Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), Climate Education Digital Report/Atlas, and storytelling products, translating insights into evidence, policy-relevant outputs, and dissemination materials. Coordination of Fellowship engagement in key events like Climate Week NYC, COP31, and ACE processes, along with partnership engagement, reporting, knowledge management, and documentation processes, are also critical responsibilities.
Work Experience
Experience in supporting the implementation and coordination of learning journeys, fellowship programs, or similar initiatives. Experience in developing educational materials, facilitating workshops, and synthesizing research or learning insights. Familiarity with climate education, youth engagement, or sustainable development is an asset.
