Job Purpose
The Partnerships Section plays a vital role in sustaining UNICEF’s resource mobilization, donor stewardship, and visibility. To strengthen this work, the Lebanon Country Office (LCO) seeks a Partnerships Coordinator to support the preparation of high-quality donor proposals and reports, support overall engagement with National Committees and private partners, and facilitate the effective organization of donor and partner visits. Additional capacity is needed in the Partnerships team to ensure new opportunities with private donors are created and followed up, while supporting the team’s ambitious donor engagement agenda which involves weekly donor visits to the field, mainly for public donors. This role is crucial for enhancing UNICEF's engagement with its partners and securing the resources needed to advance children's rights.
Responsibilities
The Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for supporting proposal development, reporting, and donor stewardship, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions that meet donor requirements and align with UNICEF's strategic objectives. This includes drafting compelling proposals and reports that highlight UNICEF's impact and needs. The role also involves coordinating donor visits to the field, managing logistics, preparing briefing materials, and ensuring a positive and informative experience for visitors, primarily public donors. Furthermore, the Coordinator will monitor partnership activities, track progress against engagement plans, and provide regular updates to the team. This includes maintaining accurate records of donor interactions and follow-ups. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure cohesive communication with external partners. The coordinator will also support the development of new engagement strategies for private donors and contribute to the overall donor engagement agenda.
Work Experience
A minimum of four years of professional experience in public affairs, programme management, resource mobilization, external relations, or another relevant area is required. Experience with donor-funded projects and/or in an emergency context is considered an asset.
