Job Purpose
The consultant will develop a methodological proposal for a dialogical and restorative route for Case 07, focusing on child protection. This involves reviewing and analyzing documentation, experiences, and methodological inputs from various sources, including the JEP, the Truth Commission, and victim organizations. The goal is to identify best practices, lessons learned, and methodological considerations relevant to the specific needs and differential aspects of Case 07. The consultant will also facilitate dialogue spaces with stakeholders to validate findings and support the preliminary analysis for victim characterization in restorative scenarios, ensuring a differential, restorative, and harm-prevention approach.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze documentation, experiences, and methodological inputs relevant to the design of the dialogical and restorative route for Case 07. This includes internal systematization by the JEP, experiences from the Truth Commission and other transitional justice mechanisms, proposals from victims and the Public Ministry, and tools developed by the JEP regarding victim needs. Produce an analytical document consolidating findings, identifying best practices, lessons learned, tensions, gaps, and methodological considerations. Conduct listening and dialogue spaces with the rapporteur's office, victims, victim representative organizations, and/or respondents to deepen, validate, and complement needs and recommendations. These spaces must incorporate a differential, restorative, and victim-sensitive approach. Support preliminary analysis for victim characterization in restorative scenarios, considering differential approaches and institutional guidelines. Develop a final methodological proposal for the dialogical route of Case 07, incorporating feedback and revisions.
Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of professional experience working with victims of armed conflict, particularly children and adolescents affected by recruitment and sexual violence. Demonstrated experience in transitional justice, especially with the JEP, Truth Commission, or similar mechanisms. Experience in designing and facilitating restorative methodologies addressing severe violence and victim participation.
