Job Purpose

The purpose of this consultancy is to adapt and contextualize the EduTech Lab Institutionalisation Guide, transforming it into a practical operational manual for schools, local education authorities, and relevant partners. This adapted guide must be clearly aligned with the national education context, policy, and regulatory framework of the Republic of Moldova. It needs to reflect school management practices, quality assurance arrangements, reporting requirements, and financing mechanisms to facilitate the sustainable institutionalization of EduTech Labs within general education institutions. The consultant will work under the supervision of the UNICEF Education Officer and in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Research (MER) and implementing partners to ensure the guide's relevance and usability within the Moldovan education system.

Responsibilities

The consultant will undertake a comprehensive review and adaptation of the existing EduTech Lab Institutionalisation Guide. This involves ensuring the guide adequately reflects the national regulatory, institutional, and financing frameworks governing schools in the Republic of Moldova. The consultant must align the guide with national education policies, regulations, school management practices, and existing funding mechanisms. Furthermore, governance arrangements, pedagogical approaches, and implementation tools need to be harmonized with system-wide standards and capacities. The revised manual should support schools, local authorities, and implementing stakeholders in effectively integrating and managing EduTech Labs within the national education system. This includes supporting schools to integrate EduTech Lab activities into existing educational and managerial structures, assume leadership of these activities, incorporate selected extracurricular and non-formal activities into school operations, and maintain inclusive educational practices beyond project funding. The consultant will also ensure the guide is practical, context-specific, and facilitates the sustainable institutionalization of EduTech Labs.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education policy, educational management, school governance, curriculum development, or a related area. Experience working within the education system of the Republic of Moldova is highly desirable.
