Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to adapt and contextualize the EduTech Lab Institutionalisation Guide, transforming it into a practical operational manual. This guide will support schools, local education authorities, and relevant partners in the Republic of Moldova. The adapted guide must be clearly aligned with the national education context, policy, and regulatory framework, school management practices, quality assurance arrangements, reporting requirements, and financing mechanisms. This alignment is crucial for facilitating the sustainable institutionalization of EduTech Labs within general education institutions, ensuring their integration into existing educational and managerial structures and promoting inclusive educational practices beyond project funding.
Responsibilities
The National Consultant will be responsible for reviewing the existing EduTech Lab Institutionalisation Guide and adapting it to the specific context of the Republic of Moldova. This includes ensuring alignment with national education policies, regulations, school management practices, and financing mechanisms. The consultant will revise governance arrangements, pedagogical approaches, and implementation tools to harmonize them with system-wide standards and capacities. Key tasks involve transforming the guide into a practical, context-specific operational manual that supports schools, local authorities, and implementing stakeholders in effectively integrating and managing EduTech Labs within the national education system. The consultant will also ensure the guide facilitates the institutionalization process, enabling schools to assume leadership, integrate activities into existing structures, and maintain inclusive practices. The work will be conducted under the supervision of the UNICEF Education Officer and in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Research and implementing partners.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education policy, educational management, school governance, or curriculum development. Experience working with national education systems, particularly in Eastern Europe, is an asset. Proven experience in developing or adapting educational guides or manuals.
