Job Purpose
The Digital Impact Assistant internship aims to support the implementation of digital initiatives and the deployment of technological solutions within UNICEF Niger. The intern will contribute to Technology for Development (T4D) initiatives by participating in the development of digital tools and platforms. They will also be involved in data management, including cleaning, analysis, and visualization. Additionally, the role includes providing IT support through a helpdesk function, assisting users, installing equipment, and resolving incidents. The internship also encompasses documenting processes and training users, offering a comprehensive learning experience in digital technologies and international organization operations.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the ICT Specialist, the Digital Impact Assistant will contribute to the implementation of digital initiatives and support the deployment of technological solutions. Key responsibilities include providing support for T4D initiatives by participating in the development of digital tools and platforms. The role involves managing and analyzing data, which includes cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing datasets to derive insights. The assistant will also provide IT support, functioning as a helpdesk to assist users with technical issues, install equipment, and resolve incidents. Furthermore, the intern will be responsible for documenting processes and training users on new tools and systems. This role offers hands-on experience in digital project support, data handling, IT troubleshooting, and user enablement within a global humanitarian organization.
Work Experience
No specific prior work experience is explicitly required, but a strong academic background in Computer Science and familiarity with IT support and digital tools are expected. The internship itself provides the primary work experience.
