Job Purpose
The Young Internship Programme in Niger aims to enhance the employability of young Nigerien graduates by providing structured professional experiences. This initiative supports UNICEF Niger's operational needs across various sections while identifying, training, and mentoring young talent. The program is designed to familiarize interns with the values, procedures, and standards of an international organization, thereby strengthening UNICEF Niger's commitment to youth inclusion, knowledge transfer, and national human capital development. Interns will gain practical, enriching experience over six months, benefiting from structured supervision and exposure to the workings of a global entity.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Finance Officer, the intern will support the team in executing tasks related to Risk and Compliance. Key responsibilities include assisting in the management of risks and compliance processes, supporting the review of spot check and audit reports, and aiding in the management of findings. The intern will also provide assistance in drafting correspondence, support the archiving of documents, and contribute to other related administrative tasks as required. This role offers a practical learning experience in financial oversight and organizational integrity within a dynamic international environment.

No specific work experience is required, but a strong academic background in finance, accounting, control, or audit is essential. The internship itself provides the primary work experience opportunity.
