Job Purpose
The Young Internship Programme at UNICEF Niger aims to identify, train, and support young talents in various fields while addressing the operational needs of different sections. This initiative is designed to provide young Nigerien graduates with structured practical experience, exposure to international organizations, and the development of professional skills. The programme will enhance the employability of young graduates by familiarizing them with UNICEF's values, procedures, and standards. Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Finance Associate, the intern will support the Finance Unit in executing various tasks. This includes the preparation and processing of accounting documents, assisting with the analysis, dispatching, and submission of invoices, and providing support in managing the petty cash system. The intern will also assist with the archiving of financial documents and contribute to the drafting of correspondence related to financial operations. These responsibilities are crucial for the smooth functioning of the Finance Unit and provide the intern with hands-on experience in financial administration within an international organization. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to organizational procedures.
