Job Purpose
This internship aims to support the Education section in the drafting, development, and structuring of project proposals targeting private partners. The intern will play a key role in advancing UNICEF's mission in Morocco to strengthen a more equitable and inclusive educational system, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Preschool and Sports. This involves contributing to initiatives focused on improving access to and quality of education across various life stages, including preschool, primary, and adolescence/youth. The objective is to translate strategic educational priorities into compelling project documents that can attract funding and partnerships, ultimately contributing to better outcomes for the most disadvantaged children in Morocco. The role requires a proactive approach to research, content creation, and strategic formulation to effectively communicate project goals and impact to potential donors.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Education Specialist, the intern will undertake a range of tasks crucial for advancing the section's objectives. This includes conducting targeted research on critical aspects related to educational priorities in Morocco, such as digitalization in education, teacher training initiatives, and strategies to combat school dropout. A primary responsibility will be to contribute actively to the drafting of conceptual notes and detailed project proposals designed for private sector partners, ensuring these documents are compelling, well-structured, and aligned with UNICEF's mandate for an equitable and inclusive education system. The intern will also foster collaboration with the Communication and Advocacy team, assisting in the development of various communication supports for projects, including project fact sheets, concise briefs, and key messaging. Additionally, the role involves providing vital administrative support to the team, specifically in the classification of files and archiving of important documents. The intern will also be expected to perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of the Education Section, which are relevant to the implementation, monitoring, and communication of the program's activities, offering a comprehensive learning experience in a dynamic environment.
