Job Purpose
The overall purpose of this assignment is to provide professional graphic design and data visualization services on a needs basis to the Humanitarian Funding Unit. Additionally, the services aim to significantly increase the uptake and engagement with products created by the unit, ensuring that vital information reaches its intended audience effectively. The objective is to establish a Long-Term Agreement, streamlining the process for the Humanitarian Funding Unit within PFP to quickly engage a Graphic Designer. This LTA will enable the timely creation of essential assets that support humanitarian fundraising efforts, ensuring UNICEF’s communications are visually compelling and aligned with branding guidelines to maximize donor engagement and support for children in emergencies.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for implementing UNICEF’s branding policy, ensuring all publications, reports, and products are produced in strict adherence to UNICEF graphic guidelines. Core tasks involve the comprehensive design of various publications, including fact sheets, donor proposals, investment cases, think pieces, donor reports, and guidelines. This encompasses creating compelling cover designs, internal layouts, detailed infographics, charts, maps, and iconography to effectively convey complex information. Additionally, the role requires the design of professional and impactful PowerPoint presentations. Optional tasks may include developing user-friendly and intuitive pages for the Emergency Hub and the PFP Private Sector Intranet on SharePoint modern, creating distinct logos, and designing PowerBI Dashboards to visualize data. The consultant must utilize their own equipment, including laptops and necessary software, and maintain strict confidentiality of all UNICEF content, refraining from sharing materials with third parties or applying personal branding. Regular liaison with the manager and content owners is essential, and the consultant may be required to work on weekends to meet assignment deadlines.
