Job Purpose
The People and Culture Officer reports to the Chief People and Culture, providing support and executing HR services. This role involves applying knowledge of theoretical HR models and organizational policies to deliver HR services effectively. The officer will be instrumental in Business Partnering, Strategic Human Resources initiatives, supporting the implementation of assigned HR services, contributing to Learning and Capacity Development, and performing HR Data Analytics. This position is crucial for ensuring that UNICEF's human resources function effectively supports its mission to protect children's rights and fulfill their potential globally.
Responsibilities
The People and Culture Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support as a Business Partner to assigned sections or units, contributing to the development and implementation of strategic HR initiatives aligned with UNICEF's mission and values. This includes supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of staff, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The role involves managing employee relations, performance management processes, and facilitating learning and development opportunities to enhance staff capacity and engagement. Additionally, the officer will be tasked with analyzing HR data to provide insights for decision-making, supporting organizational culture initiatives, and contributing to wellbeing and employee engagement programs. The position requires proactive engagement with staff and management to address HR needs and promote a positive and productive work environment, ensuring that HR services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Work Experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in human resource management within an international organization and/or a large corporation is required.
