Job Purpose
The Programme Officer (PSEA) will support the implementation of the PSEA component of the Ebola response plan in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This role involves contributing to UNICEF’s collaboration with the government, civil society partners, and the inter-agency PSEA network. The officer will work with the Social and Behavior Change (SBC) section on community engagement and with Child Protection for the care of victims of sexual exploitation and abuse. Responsibilities
The Programme Officer (PSEA) will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the PSEA component of the Ebola response plan. Key duties include capacity building and risk mitigation measures related to sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA). The officer will foster inter-agency collaboration and coordination, providing support to the government in PSEA efforts. A critical aspect of the role involves providing assistance to victims of SEA. Furthermore, the officer will be involved in reporting and responding to allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse. This includes working with the SBC section on community engagement strategies and collaborating with the Child Protection section for the care of victims. Work Experience
At least two years of professional experience in programme management, child protection, or prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse. Experience in humanitarian response or public health emergencies is desirable.
