Job Purpose
The internship aims to provide the trainee with practical experience in administrative and financial management. This program offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to enhance their capabilities within a professional work environment and guidance. UNICEF internships provide learning experiences in the humanitarian sector, supporting academic, professional, and personal development. The trainee will support the Operations section, contributing to both programmatic and operational aspects of the country program in Benin.
Responsibilities
The trainee will provide support in several key areas. This includes managing and coordinating building maintenance tasks, such as electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning systems, as well as the upkeep of generators and water fountains. Additionally, the intern will assist with inventory management processes, ensuring accurate records are maintained. A further responsibility involves collecting data that will be used in the preparation of environmental reports. This role offers hands-on experience in operational support within a humanitarian context, contributing to the efficient functioning of the UNICEF office in Cotonou.
