In Benin, UNICEF supports the government's 'WEZIZA EDUC' program, funded by the Global Partnership for Education, aiming to transform the education system by improving access, quality, retention, and equity, especially for girls.

Job Purpose

The internship aims to provide the trainee with practical experience in knowledge management, monitoring, and coordination of complex programs within the education sector. The intern will contribute to the transformation efforts of the education system by supporting the implementation of the 'WEZIZA EDUC' program. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in knowledge management, program monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, document production, and multi-stakeholder coordination, fostering a deeper understanding of humanitarian work and contributing to the well-being of children and adolescents in vulnerable communities.

Responsibilities

The intern will support the planning, activity monitoring, and management of program interventions, contributing to the organization and tracking of priorities and deadlines, and updating monitoring tools. They will assist in coordinating the project with various stakeholders, supporting communication between implementing structures, preparing meetings, drafting minutes, and following up on recommendations and action plans. Additionally, the intern will aid in program information management and documentation, participating in the production of monitoring reports and capitalization efforts to ensure good documentation of activities, results, and learnings from the program. This includes supporting the analysis of data and performance indicators, and contributing to the production of knowledge documents.
