Job Purpose

The Health Manager will drive effective, results-based health programmes to improve the survival, health, and development of women and children in Gaza. This role involves translating strategic priorities into high-quality, evidence-based interventions, ensuring efficient planning, implementation, and monitoring for measurable impact. The manager will foster collaboration, strengthen accountability, and provide operational support to optimize resource use for vulnerable populations. Key responsibilities include guiding teams, adapting to complex contexts, and upholding performance standards to achieve sustainable health outcomes. Working closely with the Chief of Field Office and senior health leadership, the incumbent will lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of critical health initiatives, from maternal and neonatal care to child survival and development. The role ensures programmes are well-managed, effectively monitored, and deliver sustainable results, turning strategic plans into action with high standards and accountability for the communities served.

Furthermore, the incumbent is tasked with advocacy, networking, and partnership building, fostering collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen health programmes. Finally, the role contributes to innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building, driving continuous improvement of health initiatives and ensuring sustainable outcomes for the communities served.
