Job Purpose
The internship aims to provide the trainee with practical experience in creating digital content tailored for communities, specifically focusing on child protection. The intern will support the Child Protection section in designing short animated videos using AI and digital creation tools. These materials will be targeted at community-based child protection mechanisms, support groups, and mentors, addressing key child protection themes. The role is designed to enhance the intern's capacity in producing innovative and accessible support materials, thereby strengthening awareness and communication with communities and field actors. This internship offers a valuable learning experience in the humanitarian sector, contributing to academic, professional, and personal development.
Responsibilities
Support the Child Protection section in the design and creation of digital content, particularly short animated videos, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. Develop innovative and accessible communication materials to raise awareness and enhance communication with communities and field-based stakeholders on child protection issues. Assist in the conceptualization and production of engaging content that effectively conveys key messages related to child protection themes. Collaborate with the team to ensure content is culturally appropriate and tailored to the specific needs of vulnerable communities. Contribute to the development of strategies for disseminating digital content to maximize reach and impact. Research and identify best practices in digital content creation and AI applications for humanitarian communication. Support the monitoring and evaluation of content effectiveness. Ensure all content aligns with UNICEF's brand guidelines and child protection standards. Assist in organizing and archiving digital assets. Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and reporting. Gain practical experience in project management, communication, and digital media production within a humanitarian context.
Work Experience
No specific work experience is required, but a strong interest in new technologies, artificial intelligence, or digital communication, particularly video creation, is essential. Experience or interest in combating gender-based violence and violence against children is also valued.
